One common trend about most artiste in Ghana is that they mostly complain about lacking support from their parents anytime they want to enter into the music industry.

Most “typical” Ghanaian parents want their children to come out as Doctors, lawyers, Engineers amongst others. As a result of this most parents don’t support their children when they want to venture into the music industry.

One of such victims is Afro-pop, love rock artist Dan Boi Mensah professionally known as Eyoh.

In an exclusive interview with Ghbase.com Eyoh disclosed that he almost got a big gig with a US-based record label but his parents ruined everything.

According to him, his parents were not in support of his dream of becoming a musician and as a result, he had to take a dive to become an Immigration officer.

He further stated in the interview that he has been in the music industry for 10 years now and he started with the likes of R2bees, Sarkodie amongst others.

Eyoh also added that he was part of those who first brought “Kasahari” music to Ghana.

Eyoh is currently promoting his latest single ” Fall4you” .
