I made Eno Barony a rapper – Danso Abiam brags

The rap game is male-dominated perhaps not the place for ladies but everywhere, including Ghana, female rappers have also been standing up with their own hooks and catching attention with their flow.

But a good deal of rap talent is being exhibited on the scene here at the moment and the name that easily pops up is nobody but Ruth Nana Serwaa Nyame affectionately called Eno Barony.

Setting the record straight, Eno Barony has been underrated for too long but from all indications, this is her time!

After listening to her debut album christened, ‘Yaa Asantewaa‘, one could see that Eno Barony is far better in lyrical content and delivery than most of the male rappers who’ve been making ‘noise’ in the Ghana music industry.

And for the first time, the person who made Eno Barny a rapper has broken his silence. From the horses own mouth, Ghanaian musician Danso Abiam has revealed that he discovered female rapper, Eno Barony.

The ‘Ghanaian Lady’ hitmaker made the revelation to Docta Kay on Accra100.5FM’s ‘Nkran Kwanso’ show on Thursday, 12 August 2021.

“Do you know that I made Eno Barony a rapper and made her come out? I was the one handling Eno Barony,” he said, adding that: “Eno Barony wasn’t into music” at that time”, he revealed.

As a reminder, Eno Barony was adjudged the first-ever female best rapper award winner at the 2021 3Music Awards.

She was also rewarded with the Best Rap Performance award at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
