Ghanaian musician and Hiplife legend, Kwabena Okyere Darko better known as Obrafour has revealed that when he lost his mum at a very tender age, he nearly lost faith in God.
At a time when he was in senior high, the pain made him drop out of school and become a ‘kubolor’.
The death of a mother could make you devastated enough to make decisions that can prove to be life-altering and Obrafour’s situation was no exception.
According to the rap icon, he nearly lost his faith in God following his mother’s demise; a traumatic event that nearly him an atheist.
In an interview on Suncity FM, the ‘Kasiebo’ hitmaker said:
“In 1997 my mum sadly passed on when I gained admission at St. Peters in Akwatia to further my education. I dropped out of school following her demise,”
He further said:
“My faith in God went down after my mother died. I started living the ‘kuborlo’ life…It was very painful at that time, but now I know that no matter how situations may be, God can change bad things for better. I regained and renewed my strength in Him [God] and it paved the way for ‘Pae Mu Ka’ to come.”
