I never said I was going to feature an artiste bigger than JAY Z – Sarkodie clarifies

Rapper Sarkodie has clarified that he has never said he was going to feature American rapper Jay Z as speculated by fans on social media prior to his album release.

Record producer Possigee had granted an interview where he said Sarkodie had been working hard and would be featuring someone bigger than Jay Z on his next album.

Those words from Possigee gave Sarkodie fans some false hope as they looked forward to having “someone bigger than Jay Z” on the No Pressure album.

So when the tracklist of the “No Pressure” album came out and it had the likes of US-based rapper Wale and UK rapper Giggs on it, it really burst the bubble of many fans.

Well, Sarkodie, in an interview with Andy Dosty on the DayBreakHitz show on Hitz FM today has said he had never intimated or publicly declared that he was working with someone bigger than Jay Z.

According to the Sarckcess music CEO, Possigee might have said that because he (Sarkodie) had done some work with UK artists, he felt that he was working with someone bigger than Jay Z.

I never said I was going to feature an artiste bigger than JAY-Z. We’ve done some works in London and perhaps, we might have done something with someone he thinks is bigger than JAY-Z so yeah

Sarkodie also added that he was displeased with the fact that Possigee came out to give false and unrealistic hope to Ghanaians that he was working with someone bigger than JAY Z.

I was not happy when Possigee said I have a collaboration with an artiste bigger than JAY-Z. He knows that himself.
