I pray God forgives those who are criticizing the building of the National Cathedral – Apostle Opoku Onyinah

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral, Apostle Opoku Onyinah, has intimated that the wanton criticism against the building of the National Cathedral is uncalled for.

According to the former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, he prays God to forgive critics who are bent on destroying the agenda of the nation to build a national cathedral.

In an exclusive interview on Asempa FM, Apostle Opoku Onyinah said critics of the National Cathedral do not have an understanding of what benefits the edifice will serve the nation. He said the politicization of the National Cathedral will certainly not inure to the good of Ghana.

“We don’t have to criticize or insult our leaders just because we disagree with them on something. As a result, I always pray to God to forgive the National Cathedral’s critics.”

“In discussing the National Cathedral, we must avoid politics. As a people, we are far too partisan.”

Apostle Opoku Onyinah on the same show charged Christians to rise beyond mediocrity and naysaying by contributing wholeheartedly towards the construction of the National Cathedral.

“One million Christians or Ghanaians can help us build the National Cathedral, and we would keep monthly accounts of all our activities, so we should be patient and see what happens,” he said.
