Mrs Charlotte Adjetey, the mother of late dancehall musician has recounted the event that led to the death of her son and the signs that shows that Terry Bonchaka, born Terry Nii Okang Mensah Adjetey was shot dead.
On October 29, 2003, Ghana entertainment industry was struck with one of the saddest news up to date when it was announced that the ‘Pulele’ hitmaker has passed away in a car crash on the Legon-Madina road while returning from a show at the Akuafo Hall Celebration at the Nation’s premier university, University of Ghana.
According to what was reported, the car in which Terry was driving suddenly veered off the road and hit a tree causing him to die at the spot.
Last month, October 29th of 2019, marked exactly 16-years the sensational musician passed away, and as such his family led by his mother, Mrs Charlotte Adjetey and sister, Shatana in the studios of TV Africa recounted the memories of his life.
It was during the interview that Mrs Charlotte stated that she strongly believes his son was murdered and did not die because his car crashed into a tree as it was reported 16 years ago.
According to her narration on why she strongly believes her son was murdered, she stated that after the death of the musician with a unique voice, dress sense and a dance routine, she never set her eyes on the dead body until he was brought from the mortuary for burial.
It was at that moment she was told to go and look at the body. That was when she realised a deformity below his chin; an indication that her son was murdered.
