Dada K.D made this disclosure in an interview on Kasapa FM with Kojo Preko Dankwa. He said that ever since he returned from Germany, there was not a single day he didn’t hear Davido’s song so he was somewhat happy that a ‘new Ghanaian musician’ was making it BIG, only to realize later that Davido is from Nigeria.

Here’s what he said:

In my residence at Kumasi I have been hearing a lot of songs being played which are Davido’s own.

I was thinking Davido was a new artist who resides in Ghana because of the rate at which his songs were being played over and over again just to realize he is a Nigerian act.

So then how could we play his songs so massively in Ghana like that?

If we could promote other people’s songs in Ghana, then why can’t we do same and even more for our very own. Its time we sit up and love our very own because if we don’t no one will do it for us.

We think Dada K. D has a good point and it’s high time we sit up as a country and revamp the entertainment industry, starting off with this policy.
