I thought Ghanaians will stop eating there over the 2017 employee abuse – Wanlov reacts to Marwako food poisoning incident

Ghanaian musician, Wanlov Kubolor has expressed disappointment in Ghanaians who still patronize Marwako fast food following their infamous 2017 incident.

Marwako Fast Food is in the news again for the wrong reason years after they became the number one public enemy for shoving a worker’s face in hot pepper.

In 2017, a Lebanese Supervisor at the Abelemkpe branch of the Marwako Restaurant identified as Jihad Chaaban grabbed the head of a 25-year-old employee and dipped her face in blended pepper.

Jihad is also alleged to have locked her up with burning and hurting eyes, preventing the other worried colleagues from helping her.

This time it has got to do with people complaining about an alleged food poisoning that caused the FDA to close down the East Legon branch of the restaurant.

According to reports, hundreds of people who ate from the Mawarko restaurant have been hospitalized.

Reacting to the report, Wanlov is questioning how come Ghanaians still buy from Mawarko despite its employee-peppering infamous incident. “After the Lebanese manager at Mawarko shoved & held his Ghanaian employee’s face in a basin of fresh blended red pepper almost making her lose her sight i thought Ghanaians would stop eating there“.
