I wanted every rapper to know the real meaning of my name – Obrafour(Executioner) on why he picked up beef with fellow musicians

He is the rap heavyweight champion who wanted to defend his crown at all times. He said it in his popular ‘Yaanom’ song. Yes! He wasn’t ready to lose the crown to any other rapper.

And he had a way of defending it. According to Obrafour in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, his name ‘Obrafour’ which translates into ‘Executioner’ is a name feared by all in our local settings back then and you dare not disrespect an executioner because your life will definitely be at stake.

And because he chose that name as his showbiz name, he wanted to live up to it; the reason why he always picked beef with fellow rappers who tried to claim superiority over him.

On of the popular beef he picked was with former hiplife artiste, Lord Kenya and Okyeame Kwame.

Obrafour explaining how his beef with Lord Kenya started noted that it all started when Lord Kenya referred to himself as the ‘rap heavyweight champion’ in one of his songs.

According to Obrafour, he was the first to describe himself as the Rap Heavy Weight Champion in his ‘Yaanom’ song of the ‘Pae Mu Ka’ album.

The self-proclaimed title which was later used by Lord Kenya meant he(Obraofur) had lost his crown which he felt was a disrespect to him.

This made him took a dig at Lord Kenya for claiming the bragging right.

Touching on his infamous diss song to Okyeame Kwame and Obour, Obrafour stressed that after the song was released, he personally went to Okyeame Kwame to render an apology though he was of the assertion that the popular ‘Kasiebo’ song wasn’t a diss to Okyeame Kwame and Obour as it was perceived by the public.
