Fante rapper Martin King Arthur who is widely known as Kofi Kinaata has disclosed that he used to do music for the fun of it until he had an encounter with Samini, CEO of HighGrade Family.
The musician who joined Samini’s High-Grade Family in 2013 in a recent interview stated that his main interest was football although he used to write music for friends.
“I used to write stuff for my friends who would claim all the ‘fans’ at various events. They always came back asking for more. I knew I would sing but I was not prepared at the time. I was taken by surprise…” Kofi Kinaata told NYDJ in an interview.
He revealed that he could simply not afford football boots, therefore, he had to switch to music where he didn’t have to buy microphones. Kofi Kinaata left HighGrade Family in 2018. He is currently working as an independent artiste.
