The third witness for former President John Mahama in the 2020 election petition case, Mr Rojo Mettle Nunoo, made the whole court burst into laughter when he gave a very honest yet funny response to Lawyer Amenuvor.

In the Supreme Court today, the lead counsel representing the Electoral Commission, Lawyer Amenuvor took his time to cross-examined Rojo Mettle Nunoo over the issues at hand.

It got to a juncture when the lawyer asked Mr Mettle whether he wasn’t served tea and biscuits at the EC premises. This question was to stress that Mr Mettle was treated warmly by the EC which in turn defeats the allegation that the EC deliberately sacked the NDC officials from their precincts before the declaration.

Mr Mettle Nunnoo said: “I was offered tea, I wasn’t offered biscuits.”

This response made the court go gaga as the EC Boss, Madam Jean Mensa could not hold back her laughter.
