Popular Highlife musician Dada KD has revealed that President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo once gave some cool cash to help support his music ministry.
According to him in an interview with Nana Romeo of Accra FM, the President after the 2016 election ordered one of his people to give him GHS7000 to shoot a music video.
Dada KD in his explanation on the said amount disclosed that the GHS7000 he received from the President has nothing to do with campaigning for him during the last Elections in 2016 but it was the President’s own will who informed Eugene Arhin who is the Director of Communications at the presidency to give him the amount in question.
“I didn’t go to Nana Akufo-Addo to say that ‘I’ve endorsed you so give me money.’ I went with Kofi B and he [Nana Akufo-Addo] willingly asked us whether we will need something small for the song we made,” Dada KD said.
“I told him we want to do a video for the song and then he made Eugene Arhin give us a little money, not money that we were going to use to live our lives or buy a car. He gave us GHS7000 for our video…”
