Disgruntled flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has said he is not going to do anything that will destroy the hard-earned peace and stability of Ghana.

According to Mr Mahama, he holds the peace of Ghana in high regards and although he is dissatisfied with the election results as presented by the Electoral Commission, he is not going to be the reason Ghana’s peace is destroyed.

Speaking in an interview with VOA, Mr Mahama, whose party supporters are on a rampage protesting against the election results, assured that he is not going to incite anyone to jeopardize the peace of Ghana.

“I’m not going to do anything that jeopardizes the peace of this country, I’m peace-loving, I’m not going to incite people to go and destroy things, I will not do that,” he stated.

Meanwhile, supporters of the NDC are staging frequent demonstrations in several constituencies against the EC over what they described as a ‘stolen and flawed verdict.’
