The ex-husband of Gospel artist, Obaapa Christy, Pastor Love Hammond has alleged that he did not receive any form of profit for writing eight songs for Obaapa Christy.

Before the marriage of Pastor Love and Obaapa Christy went sour, he was writing a few songs for the gospel artist. According to him, he received nothing as a form of profit from the songs he wrote for his former wife.

Speaking in an interview with Afia Amankwah Tamakloe on Adom TV’s M’ashyase3, Pastor Love stated that although he did not get any profit from the hit songs he wrote for his former wife, he won’t blame her for how things turned out.

He explained that this is because the music industry way back was not profitable as it is now.

“I can say that at that time, music wasn’t fetching money. We were not making money at that time. You write and give the song to someone to produce it and all the proceeds go to that person so that was the reason we didn’t make money.

“They say there is something called royalties but nothing came out of it. There was no money,” he told Afia Amankwa Tamakloe.

Pastor Love is the ex-husband of gospel artist Obaapa Christy formerly Christiana Love. Their marriage ended in a mess some years back but it seems Pastor Love hasn’t gotten over it.
