If you are so proud of your polygamy, how come it is only Regina you carry to campaigns and not all your beautiful wives? – Actor Uche Maduagwu comes for Ned Nwoko

Ned Nwoko has come under fire from actor Uche Maduagwu for his remarks on polygamy and the seeming hypocrisy shrouding the way he handles his polygamous home.

Nwoko who married actress Regina Daniels as his 5th wife when she was reportedly 18 years criticized southern Nigerian men for contributing to prostitution in society by rejecting polygamy in a recent interview with The Guardian.

Maduagwu responded to the billionaire politician’s remark on his Instagram page, saying that while it’s good that polygamy works for him, he should stop disparaging Southern Christian men who are happy with just one wife.

He asserted that the politician should bring his other wives to his campaigns in addition to Regina if he is proud of his polygamous family. His thoughts have been shared in this series of posts below;

As mentioned earlier, Ned Nwoko had accused males from southern Nigeria of encouraging prostitution in the community by disdaining polygamy.

Essentially, he said men with multiple women like himself are helping to curb prostitution. This was stated by the lawmaker, who is married to actress Regina Daniels and other women in a recent interview with The Guardian.

He said: “Many women are out there on their own without husbands, especially in the southern part of the country, and there is a high level of prostitution. What some of our girls do to make ends meet is regrettable and if our men emulate their northern counterparts by having more than one wife, that could probably change the situation.

“The average southerner may have only one wife, but many girlfriends also, and he is spending his money on the girlfriends; sometimes even more than on his wife.

He concluded by saying: “My grandfather and the Ooni’s grandfather and the then Olowo of Owo took many photographs together. So, the Ooni and I have that kind of common background, because our grandfathers were kings and served Nigeria in that capacity. And we are now also serving Nigeria by having many wives.”
