The former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has said that he will cancel ex-gratia and work with only 60 ministers when he becomes president again.
John Mahama made this comment during the launch of his flagbearership campaign themed ‘Building The Ghana We Want Together’ in Ho, the Volta Region.

The payment of ex-gratia to members of the executive under article 71 will be scrapped,” Mahama said.
Addressing party members and supporters gathered, former President John Mahama berated the sitting president and his vice stating that they have ruined the country instead of making it strong and grow as they promised in their various manifestoes in the previous years.
“Our present state and its effect on our people trouble me a lot,” lamented, adding “We will not run a government of slogans, instead we will run a government of action.”
“Ghana at this time does not need a ‘try-me-too-leader. Ghana needs a leader who accepts responsibility and works to fix the problem and not one who shifts blame to others,”
