Justin Dean, the ex-husband of Nigerian dancer Korra Obidi has stated in a new post that seems like a shade to his former wife that divorce is not something to glorify.
In response to Korra’s decision to post on Facebook to celebrate their divorce being finalized, he made this emotional statement while revealing how he will tell his daughter the demerits of divorce when they grow up.
Recall that Korra recently expressed her happiness in a post on her website, noting that the divorce papers had been filed and that she had been granted full custody of their two children.
Justin, the one who first revealed that their marriage had ended, believes that getting a divorce is a “failure” and should not be anything to be proud of. The father of two also pledged to teach his daughters everything they require to ensure successful marriages.
He added that anyone who views divorce as an easy solution whenever there is a problem in the marriage is just treating it like a business transaction.
The doctor further implied further that his ex-wife Korra lacked the capabilities required to uphold marriage.
In his words; “I will raise my daughters in such a way that they have the skills necessary to maintain a marriage. Because marriage is work. It’s not something that you go in thinking, ‘Oh, if it doesn’t work out, I’ll just get divorced. I’ll just move on to the next thing in life’.
“If you have that kind of mentality, it’s almost more like a transaction. It’s like this person is going to elevate me in one way in life and when it no longer works I’ll just divorce them and do it again.”
