Highlife singer, Kumi Guitar has spilled out his frustrations as a celeb whose financial standing doesn’t corroborate his status.

The singer is one of the few people who paints a true picture of the struggles he goes through as a singer who is yet to hit mainstream momentum despite being in the industry for over 15years.

Speaking to Graphic Showbiz, the Zylofon Media signee said people often have the erroneous impression that popular people are wealthy but the arrow on the ground points to a different direction altogether.

The Brown Sugar crooner also said aside all this he has to contend with negative stories propagated about his brand spearheaded by the media.

He said: “People see you and think all is well with you because you are popular but the truth is that it is not easy. There have been many times that I have been devastated and hurt about stories and even comments about my person that I know weren’t true.

He continued:“However, it is difficult to stop them because you are a popular figure and everyone feels they have a stake in your life. It can be really frustrating but this is what we have signed ourselves up for so you need to brace yourself and move forward when it happens,” he stated.
