“I’m sorry, forgive me” – Captain Smart begs Mahama on TV for defaming him in the past

Ghanaian journalist Captain Smart has apologized to former President Mahama for what he describes as defaming his personality in the past.

The Onua TV on his show said he felt remorseful for chastising and publishing false stories about Mr Mahama when he was in power.

According to him, allegations he made that the Mahama had houses and cars in Dubai were untrue, unverified and false. He has asked Mahama to forgive him for spreading outright lies about him and denting his image.

The former Adom FM journalist’s comment comes on the back of what he described as his disappointment in the Akufo-Addo led administration. According to him, the current government has proven time and again that the erstwhile government were saints.

Captain Smart said although he will never vote for NDC or Mahama, he regrets tagging him corrupt. He insisted that Mahama was not corrupt and was not up to anything fishy despite allegations made by presenters like himself at the time.
