‘I’m sorry’ – Manasseh Azure apologizes to Prez Akufo-Addo after insulting him

Ghanaian investigative journalist of international repute, Manasseh Azure Awuni has unreservedly extended his apology to the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo after a demeaning post he shared about him.

Manasseh Azure incurred the wrath of members of the elephant family when he made a Facebook post on Thursday, August 19 where a portion of his post stated that some of the utterances made by the president do not match up to his age.

His statement greatly offended supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) including the hierarchy and they came for him in their numbers.

In a new post made by Manasseh, he has disclosed that he has been advised by friends that his comment about the president was too harsh hence has pulled down the post.

He has therefore apologized to the President and other offenders for his actions.

He posted;

“Yesterday, | wrote a post that said some of the president’s pronouncements are not befitting of a man of his age. Some respectable friends who reached out to me said they have found the wording of the most distasteful and appealed to me to do something about it.

Accordingly, I have pulled down the post and apologize to the president and whoever is offended by the post. I, however, stand by the substance of the post, that some of the utterances of the president are not befitting of him.

For instance, there’s nothing funny about Kwaku Agyeman-Manu’s actions to warrant a public joke about it. This week, it was Domelevo’s comment.”
