This report will take a look at the trending story of IRS Agent Joe Ziegler who is married to a man named Korey Austin.
When Joseph Ziegler, an IRS employee since 2010, testified before Congress on Wednesday and asserted that Hunter Biden received preferential treatment in the inquiry into his financial dealings, the riddle surrounding Whistleblower X’s identity was finally solved.
In their testimony before the House Oversight Committee, Ziegler and IRS Supervisory Agent Gary Shapley stated that their investigation “supported felony and misdemeanour tax charges,” but that political forces prevented them from being filed against the president’s son Hunter.
Rather than just the misdemeanour tax charges Hunter is scheduled to plead guilty next week as part of a deal that allows him to avoid prosecution for a separate gun charge, Ziegler, a 13-year veteran of the IRS who was the main case agent on the Hunter investigation, claimed the federal tax investigation into the president’s son “supported felony and misdemeanour tax charges.
“The agents testified under oath that U.S. Attorney David Weiss, the prosecutor in charge of the Hunter Biden case, requested that the U.S.
Attorney Matthew Graves file the charges in Washington, D.C. Graves objected, so Weiss dropped the prospective criminal charges and reached a plea agreement with the president’s son.
‘I watched U.S. Attorney [David] Weiss tell a room full of senior FBI and IRS senior leaders on October 7, 2022, that he was not the deciding person on whether charges were filed,’ Shapley said, contradicting Weiss’ previous public statements.
‘If the Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss followed DOJ policy as he stated in his most recent letter, Hunter Biden should have been charged with a tax felony, and not only the tax misdemeanour charge,’ said Ziegler. ‘We need to treat each taxpayer the same under the law.’
As the U.S. attorney for Delaware, he noted that his ability to file charges is typically “geographically limited” to that region. However, he claimed that Attorney General Merrick Garland had agreed to give him special attorney status so that he could file charges elsewhere. Weiss, though, was allowed “to make a decision to prosecute in any way he wanted to and in any district he wanted to,” according to Garland’s statement from last month. Weiss did “not need” U.S. Attorney Graves’ consent to file charges in Washington, according to a representative for Graves who talked to DailyMail.com on Thursday.
