Recently, there was a story that Patapaa had gone mad and suffering from mental issues after he had gotten out of a plane and started walking confused on the tarmac. Some people even blamed his behavior that day on Kumchacha, saying that the man of God had cursed him.

Patapaa has rubbished those reports saying that, although he got out of the plane that day, it wasn’t because he was mad as being reported by the media. He blamed bloggers for spreading such false stories about him.

‘I don’t even understand [the stories].” Patapaa said. “My dad was worried about it. The media write too many fake stories. The bloggers don’t write good things about people…”

“I had to travel with my manager. It was not safe to travel alone. The manager changed his plans at the airport and I couldn’t go to Nigeria alone….I had to get down from the plane because if it gets locked, I couldn’t return…” he told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz.
