Veteran Highlife artiste, Dada KD has revealed if he finds out that Kuame Eugene and Shatta Wale were paid at the recently held Covid-19 Virtual Concert organised by the Ministry of Information, he’ll be pained.

This is because of he and other artistes such as Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, Fancy Gadam, Great Ampong, Bukom Banku and all other artistes who performed that day did it for free as their own small way of educating Ghanaians on covid-19.

But according to Dada KD, wild rumours suggest that Kuame Euegne and Shatta Wale were paid. He therefore revealed in a new interview that if the rumours turn out to be true, he’ll be hugely disappointed in an interview with the ghanaweekend.com.

“I called the Minister of Communications and she said that is speculative but I am saying that if later I find out it is true, I’ll be hurt,” he said.

The ‘Odo Mu Anigye’ singer also noted that it may even happen Shatta Wale and Kuami Eugene were not paid but someone may have gone for the money through dubious means.

“Probably Shatta Wale said he wouldn’t take anything but someone would capitalize on that, budget for it, and keep that money,” he further noted.

Dada KD further added that he was only given money for transportation. However, he warned that if it later comes out that Shatta Wale and Kuami Eugene were paid their usual fees, he will be very disappointed.
