Most people are of the view that police cells are meant for vagabonds and criminals but some people have been thrown behind bars for trivial stuff.
It could be recalled that one female blogger was thrown behind bars over false publication which shouldn’t have been the case. Not only her but Mark Okraku Mantey has also recounted how he landed up in cells for trivialities.
Talking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM as a panel member. Mark, the president of the Creative Arts Council, who doubles as the programmes manager at Hitz FM revealed that he was once arrested for playing loud music in a serene neighbourhood in Accra.
“Kwame Sefa Kayi bailed me when I was in cells. I have slept in cells about 3 or 4 times. First time I played with Karim, who passed, I didn’t know the law because I was young then,” he narrated.
“We were playing in Labone and one big lawyer called the police that we are disturbing and Karim insulted the policeman. So we were arrested and the same Karim bolted away,”he added.
Mark OKraku Mantey for the past years has been described by many as a ‘dream killer’ due to his criticisms as a judge on talent shows as well as his comments on Sarkodie related issues.
His recent that even got rapper Edem furious and lashed out at him was a statement he made that the VGMA board should not have made Berla Mundi the lead host because she was below the standard.
