I’ve To Move To Accra Because I Get 80% of Kumasi Shows But Still Remains ‘Underground’ Artist – Flowkingstone Feeling Sad

The truth is, Flowkingstone is the most sought-after artist in the Garden City otherwise known as Kumasi but it’s unfortunate that he’s less revered nationwide.

According to the Kumasi-based rapper, artistes who don’t reside in the nation’s capital, Accra are really struggling especially himself. This is because, all the attention is in Accra-based acts.

“Everything is happening in Accra. Apart from all the connections and sponsors here, all the event centres are here in Accra, talk of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), the National Theatre, the Fantasy Dome, the Banquet Hall of the State House just to mention a few”, Flowkingstone told Showbiz in a recent interview.

As a result, he noted that one needs to be in Accra else only God’s favor can help one to blow up. To buttress his point, Flowkingstone said that all the A-list artistes are in Accra and that explains why most artistes are moving from the other regions to Accra.

He added that although he gets a number of shows in Kumasi, it does not make it to the headlines and make the needed impact because it’s not in Accra. So logically, he’s like an underground artist.

“I get almost 80 percent of my shows in Kumasi. I was one of the busiest artistes last year but because I was in Kumasi, hardly did anyone notice me because all the focus was on Accra.”
