Twitter picks Ghana as its Headquarters for Africa operations, President Akufo-Addo reacts with pride

A section of Nigerians is displeased with Twitter’s decision to choose and name Ghana as its Headquarters for their operations in Africa.

According to these Nigerians, Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter has made a grave mistake by settling on Ghana, a very small irrelevant country as compared to Nigeria.

These are comments being made by some Nigerians after Ghanaians on Twitter have reacted with joy to the good news of Twitter deciding to pick Ghana amongst over 54 countries in Africa.

Nigeria has always touted itself as the “Giant of Africa” and has taken pride in the prioritization given to it by international cooperation and companies coupled with the strides their human resources have made over the years.

But as Twitter have bypassed Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia et al to name Ghana as their preferred destination for their Africa headquarters, some Nigerians have been taken aback and expressed their reservations.
