Despite being born in Rochelle, Leno actually grew up in Andover, Massachusetts whsre he began his junior level education at the Andover High School. He further up to Tertiary Level and obtained a bachelor’s degree in speech therapy from Emerson College, where he started a comedy club in 1973.
Career
Jay has been able to maintain an active schedule as a touring stand-up comedian, doing an average of 200 live performances a year in venues across the United States and Canada and at charity events and USOtours.
However, his rise to the top came When he made his first appearance on The Tonight Show on March 2, 1977, performing a comedy routine. And went on to have minor roles in several television series and films.
