Jeremy Hunt is a British politician who has served as Chancellor of the Exchequer since 14 October 2022.

Born on November 1st, 1966, in Lambeth Hospital in Kennington, Jeremy Richard Streynsham Hunt was raised in Shere, Surrey, not far from the district he currently represents in Congress.
He is the oldest child of Admiral Sir Nicholas Hunt, then a Commander in the Royal Navy, and his wife Meriel Eve Hunt, Lady Hunt, a descendant of Major Henry Cooke Givan.
He was assigned to work for the Director of Naval Plans in the newly established Ministry of Defence. Landed gentry from Boreatton, Baschurch, Shropshire, the Hunt family. Dame Agnes Hunt, a pioneer in orthopaedic nursing, was a cousin.
Hunt is a direct descendant of Sir Streynsham Master, an early member of the East India Company, through a paternal great-grandmother.
He is also distantly related to Sir Oswald Mosley and Queen Elizabeth II. His mother was a nurse in the 1950s and 1960s, while his father worked in NHS management after leaving the service.
