Job for the boys: Mad reaction as Paul Adom-Otchere is appointed Board Chair of Ghana Airports Company

There are mixed reactions after it was announced that President Akufo-Addo has appointed Metro TV journalist, Paul Adom-Otchere as Board Chair of the Ghana Airports Company.

Mr Adom-Otchere had previously served as a board member of the National Communications Authority.

The board of GACL also has three other presidential appointees; Teye Adjirackor, Kwabena Mantey Jectey Nyarko and Philomena Sam.

The board also has the company’s Managing Director, Yaw Kwakwa; a Ministry of Transport representative, Francis Kofi Nunoo and a representative from the Ghana Air Force, Grp. Cpt. Gervase Wienaa.

This was captured in a letter from the Presidency, signed by Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare and addressed to the Ministry of Transport.

Paul Adom-Otchere is viewed to have a soft spot for the governing party and has exhibited his allegiance and loyalty by defending the government on vert pertinent issues on his show, Good Evening Ghana.

Many believe, he is being rewarded for working over the years as a journalist who supports., trumpets the achievements and stands solidly behind the NPP government.
