Discrimination and looking down on others is what newly elected US President Joe Biden isn’t ready to countenance as he says he’d fire any appointee of his government if they discriminate against anyone.
Joe Biden said this when he was addressing the about 1,000 appointees of his in his first day at the White House.
He told them during the virtual address;
“I’m not joking when I say this: If you ever work with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I will fire you on the spot. No ifs, ands or buts.”
“I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise I will fire you on the spot,” he added.
Joe Biden added that everybody deserves to be treated with respect, something he said was missing the past four years and to restore that decency, every one of his appointees would have to be respectful to the other.
“Everybody is entitled to be treated with decency and dignity. That’s been missing in a big way the last four years,” he said.
Joe Biden is the 46th President of the United States of America after successfully defeating Donald John Trump in the December Polls.
They say charity begins at home and if this decency of respecting each other gets deeply rooted in the White House, it will spread to the wider American population and that calm country we know will be back to it’s best in treating citizens and other people around the world with respect.
