The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has subtly reacted to the resignation of her running mate for the 2020 presidential elections, Madam Naana Jane Opoku Ageymang.
News went viral a few days ago when it emerged that the astute academician has resigned from her political position and was going back to her former capacity as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
The rumours were consolidated by the fact that Naana Jane was spotted moving all her belongings to Cape Coast to resume her former work as the Vice-Chancellor of UCC after her party lost to Nana Akufo Addo.
Apparently, that’s not true and John Dramani Mahama responded to this by sharing new photos of himself and Naana on Friday- December 18, 2020, when they both had a meeting with the Secretary-General of The Commonwealth, Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC, and her team to brief them on the NDC’s position on the disputed elections.
Mr. Mahama shared the photos on his official Facebook page along with this message;
Meeting with the Secretary General of The Commonwealth, Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC, and her team. Together with Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, NDC National Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and others, we briefed the Secretary General on the basis of our position on the results declared by the Electoral Commission.
