John Dumelo, the celebrated actor and politician who recently added farming to his portfolio has taken to his Facebook page to share a message to all farmers in Ghana on the occasion of Farmers’ Day.
Farmers’ Day in Ghana is celebrated on the first Friday of December. This day is celebrated to recognise the contributions of farmers and fishermen in the country. On this day, Ghana’s Ministry of Food and Agriculture honours deserving farmers and fishermen with special awards.
In the post he shared, Dumelo emphasized the need for Ghana to add value to its agricultural output before exporting it to other nations.
The fresh-faced actor posted;
On the occasion of farmers day, let us emphasize on value addition rather than exporting our raw materials and importing them as finished goods. Let’s start adding value and export. Happy farmers day everyone!!!
Similarly, weeks after John Dumelo took all the plaudits online after he shared a photo of a truckload of his farm produce, precisely yams which he brought to Accra and readied them to be sold, he returned with the same template.
This time around he brandished two big tubers of yam (the pona species) in a beautiful photo while deepening the admiration people have for him in the process.
John’s agriculture journey has been fruitful and his exemplary lifestyle coupled with his hard work has well been well appreciated.
