Former coach of the Black Stars, James Kwesi Appiah has shockingly revealed that his dismissal after the 2014 World Cup in Brazil was motivated by former president John Dramani Mahama.

The coach revealed this in his new book, “Leaders Don’t Have To Yell”. According a part of that revelation as published in the book, John Mahama asked former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi to sack him after they returned from the World Cup in Brazil where Ghana performed badly coupled with the ridiculous airlifting of money to players after they threatened not to play the rest of their matches unless they are paid in full.

“To anyone who was objectively looking at the facts of the circumstances surrounding Brazil 2014, it was obvious that my termination was an attempt by the powers-that-be to shift blame away from themselves,” Appiah wrote.
