Josh Hart biography
Growing up, Hart favoured basketball and developed a reputation as a player with lots of vigour. Although Hart was a basketball prodigy from an early age, private schools were uninterested in him, so he enrolled in Wheaton High School.
Before transferring to Sidwell Friends School, he temporarily attended Wheaton. As a junior, he averaged 20.6 points and 11.6 rebounds per game there. However, a number of students and parents petitioned the school to grant him a second opportunity after he was almost expelled from school for receiving subpar grades.
Hart led the club to a 22-9 record as a senior by averaging 24.3 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 2.8 steals per game. He was The Washington Post’s first-team All-Met pick and Rivals.com’s 82nd-ranked talent in the class of 2013. Hart signed a letter of commitment with Villanova in November 2012 after taking Penn State and Rutgers into consideration.
