Just In: Adwoa Sarfo Sacked From Parliament, No Longer Holds Position As Gender And Children Minister

A communique from the office of the President suggests that the incumbent member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Hon Adwoa Sarfo’s position has been revoked by the president.

A statement from the office of the President states;

“In accordance with Article 81(a) of the constitution, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has revoked the appointment of Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, Member of Parliament for Dome- Kwabenya, as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, with immediate effect’” portion of the statement said.

The statement added that,” the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah, will continue to act as the Caretaker Minister, until such a time President Akufo-Addo appoints a substantive Minister.”

The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for the Dome Kwabenya Constituency of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana has been out of jurisdiction (absent from Parliament) for over a year without permission.
