Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has filed a defamatory suit against the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong.
In a suit filed at the Accra High Court today, June 8, 2018, Anas is claiming he has been defamed by the cantankerous MP, and is demanding GH¢25m in damages.

It’ll started when Anas carried out an investigation into Ghanaian football, dubbed ‘Number 12’, which was premiered on June 6th. The documentary uncovered significant rot in Ghanaian football and its connections to the corridors of power.
Prior to its airing, Kennedy Agyapong went on the warpath against Anas and daring him to stop showing the documentary for he’s corrupt accordingly. He described Anas as an extortionist, a blackmailer and a crook, even going so far as to call for him to be hung.
It’s in the light of this that Anas Aremeyaw Anas has filed suit which has been served to the MP, who has eight days to respond.
