Just like Ken Agyapong, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong bought the first copy of Asamoah Gyan’s book for GHC100,000

Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan yesterday launched his book titled ‘LeGendary’ at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.

In attendance were current and former football stars, CAF President, Ghana President His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo, and a host of other well-known and top celebrities.

In our previous post, we made it known that Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong bought the second copy of the book for a whopping 100,000 Ghana cedis as a move to support the former all-time leading goalscorer of the Black Stars.

Chief Executive Officer for Special Group of Companies producers of Special Ice Mineral Water Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong was the first person who bought the book at the same price as Kennedy Agyapong, GHC 100,000.

Others who bought the book on the night included Freedom Jacob Caesar, Alan Kyeremanteng, and Kurt Okraku.

Asamoah Gyan launched his book Legyandary which details his life’s happenings and takes readers through the illustrious journey of Gyan’s early days and his rise to fame as arguably Ghana’s greatest-ever striker.

The book also if read will bring to an end some uncertainties about his encounters with people in and out of the country of Ghana.

This book launch makes Asamoah Gyan the first Ghanaian Football icon to publish a book that details his journey in the profession and his personal life.

Speaking at the event, Asamoah Gyan noted that the criticisms by Ghanaians made him develop a strong mentality that made him.

“I know I’m loved,” he said.
