Kasoa Ritual Killing: Fetish priestess who lured teenagers into killing 10-year-old Ishmael denies knowing the suspects, says they’ve not met before

The fetish priestess who was yesterday arrested in connection with the Kasoa ritual killing of 10-year-old Ishmael Mensah Abdallah has denied any knowledge or whatsoever concerning allegations levelled against her.

On Saturday, April 3, 2021, two teenagers at Kasoa, Felix Nyarko and Nicholas Kini were arrested for allegedly killing a 10-year-old boy, Ishmael Mensah for money rituals.

According to reports by an eyewitness, the two boys lured the boy into an uncompleted building and hit him dead waiting to convey his body to a spiritualist in the Volta Region as directed but their plan backfired.

The priestess in question was yesterday arrested at Amanase near Suhum in the Eastern Region where she had come to visit one of her shrines.

After her arrest, her case docket was handed to the headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service.

And according to her statement in the docket, she has never established any contact with the two teenagers. She further challenged the police to bring evidence that she influenced the teenagers to k!ll their friend.

According to Superintendent Irene Oppong on Angel TV, the police will also provide their evidence to prove that she lured the two boys to murder their friend for money rituals.

The two suspects, however, appeared in court on April 6, 2021, where they were remanded into police custody for two weeks to reappear in court on April 20.
