The death of Basketball Famer, Kobe Bryant is still fresh in the minds of his fans and the world basketball fraternity and news have emerged from a spokesperson for the church he attended in the morning before his death.
According to the spokesperson, Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianni were present at church in the early hours of the plane crash and participated in the 7: 00 am mass at the Our Lady Queen of Angel in Newport Beach, led by Father Anthony Vu, a Vietnamese parochial vicar.
A Parishioner who also attended the mass with Kobe Bryant and Gianni in a post on social media confirmed the spokesperson’s narration.
“During mass, our priest informed us all that Kobe Bryant and his daughter attended mass this morning at the Our Lady Queen of Angels”.
Father David Barnes, a Catholic priest in Boston, Massachusetts also confirmed their involvement in the 7:00 am mass on Twitter;
“A friend texted me today to tell me that a friend of her’s (sic) saw #KobeBryant at #Catholic Mass this morning. ‘Mass is the worship of God. Heaven is the worship of God. Go to Mass here so that you can worship God forever in heaven”.
Kobe Bryant tragically lost his life on Sunday- January 26 after a helicopter transporting him to an NBA game crashed in Calabasas near LA, California, killing him, his daughter Gianna and two other passengers.
Gianna — the second of Bryant’s four daughters with his wife, Vanessa Laine Bryant — was a passionate basketball player. And Bryant made sure he was involved in her development by coaching her team.
