Kojo Antwi, known as “Mr. Music Man,” seeks to rebrand by changing his name. According to the famed artist, his name, “Kojo Antwi,” may be altered next year (2023).
He’s been in the music business for decades and feels he can do more to boost his career, so he’s rebranding and giving more to music fans.
We’ll do something different next year. Name change, he said.
“I can always go back and tap into that, but I still have a lot that’s not out there,” he remarked. The book features extras. Lots are coming.”
Mr. Music Man claimed on the broadcast that many mistakes his music genre, saying he’s not a highlife artist. “My music is Afro Pop,” he said.
Given that his songs have highlife characteristics, he said he performs in many genres since he has a versatile voice.
He feels Ghanaian music is more than one style. As the 2015 GHAMRO chairman, he said effective laws are needed to improve the organization.
Kojo Antwi says GHAMRO’s ineffectiveness is due to artists’ lack of knowledge about its methods and transactions.
“Everyone needs education, even musicians since music isn’t a product. France has to teach its citizens to embrace copyright. I pursued it as chairman. Give GHAMRO carte blanche…”
When asked whether GHAMRO would improve, he answered, “It requires legislation.” We need legislation to guide our actions so leaders will sign it.
The great musician is motivated by music enthusiasts and anybody he meets. Fans and music enthusiasts are appreciated, he added. I adore it.”
The “Nfa Me Nko Ho” singer will perform at Love Songs Unlimited on December 24, 2022. In 2023, he’ll release his 14th album.
