Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has extended warm felicitations to Fatima Abubakar, the new nominee named by President Akufo-Addo as his deputy in the second term.
Fatima Abubakar, a communicator and lawyer comes to replace Pius Enam Hadzide who was the Deputy Information Minister in the first term of the Akufo-Addo government.
In the second term, Pius has been booted out of the ministry and replaced by Fatima apparently because he wasn’t up to the task or the President believes he needs dynamism at the ministry.
We look forward to welcoming you shortly to @moigovgh.
Congratulations on your nomination. pic.twitter.com/RnP785ziM9

Pius Hadzide, before his appointment to the Information Ministry, was the Deputy Minister of Sports who got himself embroiled in the infamous visa racketeering scandal. A scandal which many thought would have dealt a heavy blow to his political career but Akufo-Addo resuscitated him by reappointing him as Deputy Information Minister.
In fact, Pius was very vociferous during his time at the Information Ministry. He was very good at protecting the image of the government while he did not relent in tearing into the opposition NDC and giving them a run for their money.
But sadly, after all his toil, Pius has been strategically booted out of the government. He did not secure an appointment. Fatima Abubakar has been considered as a better replacemnet for Pius following her articulation during the 2020 Election Petition Case. She has been rewarded.
