‘Shatta Wale Stormed The Stage Because He Did Not Want To Be ‘Tricked’- Kontihene Backs Shatta Wale

The Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy issue is still attracting divergent views from Ghanaians from all walks of lives, with rapper Kontihene being the latest person to add his voice to it.

According to the former VGMA Artiste of the Year winner, he fully supports Shatta Wale for storming the stage with his entourage because he presumably could not sit down and watch on whilst he was being ‘tricked.’

He wrote on his Facebook timeline;

 “SM….. #kingdom #my n****a can’t sit and take #tricks He is a true definition of a fighter – I just luv him @shattawalenima.”

The 20th edition of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Award ended in tatters after Shatta Wale stormed the stage moment after Stonebwoy was declared winner of the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award.

Stonebwoy, who felt his security was under threat, pulled a gun to ostensibly finish his arc rival and his fans, and that was when chaos set in, causing patrons to run for their lives whilst others also got ‘pepper-sprayed.’

In a related development, both artistes pleaded not guilty to their charges when they appeared before his lordship, Isaac Addo today- Wednesday May 22; after which they were granted bail at a cost of GHc50,000 with one surety each.

Shatta Wale is facing a charge of offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace while Stonebwoy has been charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace and display of a firearm in public without permission.
