Zylofon Media signed artist, Nana Yaw Kumi, popularly known as Kumi Guitar has reacted to Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale’s brawl that led to them been banned from the VGMA.
In a press conference earlier yesterday – Thursday, May 23, the board and leadership of Charterhouse decided to ban the two Dancehall greats and strip them off the awards they won at the just recently held ceremony.
According to the VGMA board, the decision was taken after “careful deliberations” and “extensive consultation” with stakeholders in the music industry.
This means the two dancehall artists are to return the two awards they both won on the VGMA night. The board also announced that the pop song of the year and the Artists of the year categories have been nullified.
According to Kumi Guitar, banning them is not the best decision because they are the biggest artiste in the country at the moment and pleaded for both artists to consider rendering an apology.
He believed they should just punish them for their actions and also call on the other musicians to show support because they can all be victims one day.
