Beale was raised in Western Sydney’s Mount Druitt after being born in Blacktown, New South Wales. Prior to switching to rugby union, Kurtley played junior rugby league with Western City Tigers in Mt. Druitt.
During his three senior years at St. Joseph’s College in Hunters Hill (often known as “Joeys”), he played in the first XV of that institution. Between 2004 and 2006, Beale was chosen for the NSW and Australian Schoolboys representative rugby teams.
Beale, who began training with the NSW Waratahs at the age of 15, captained the Australian Schoolboys team and the Joey’s first XV in 2006. He joined the Waratahs when he was just 16 years old. He went to his first Wallabies training camp when he was 17 thanks to coach John Connolly’s offer.

Beale has been accused of sexually assaulting a lady in a Sydney bar last month, and he has been charged. Police say they are looking into claims that a 28-year-old woman was attacked on December 17 in the beachfront district of Bondi.
Over the course of ten years, Mr Beale, 34, has participated in more than 90 games for Australia’s national team, the Wallabies.
Rugby Australia said in a statement that it had suspended him from all forms of rugby “with immediate effect” in line with its code of conduct and would be carrying out its own investigations.
However, it will not be making any further comments as it is a police matter.
