Kwaw Kese To Face Parliament’s Privileges Committee Over ‘Weed’ Allegations

Controversial Hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese could soon be dragged before parliament’s privileges committee over allegations that some lawmakers in the country smoke ‘weed’.


Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu Constituency, Ras Mubarak who gave the hint on Friday dared the musician to mention names of MPs into the consumption of the contraband product or face-off with lawmakers.


“It is a very reckless statement, and for me, it is one of those headline grabbing statements that seems to bring attention to members of parliament unnecessarily,” the MP said.


“If he indeed knows members of parliament who are smoking marijuana, he should actually come public with the names,” Ras Mubarak continued.


Earlier this Kwaw Kese claimed;” “I know some people in Parliament who smoke weed,” he said while advocating that the law making smoking in the country illegal be quashed.

The rapper who was arrested in Kumasi on Saturday, November 22, 2014 for allegedly smoking cannabis in public disclosed that even after his arrest, he could not stop smoking the illegal substance adding that he had hidden the fact from people for long and thought it is time he lets the cat out of the bag.
