Lamar Demeatrice Jackson Jr., a quarterback with the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens, was born on January 7, 1997. (NFL). He played college football for Louisville and was chosen by the Ravens with the last pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

During his sophomore year at Louisville, he won the Heisman Trophy. After incumbent Joe Flacco suffered an injury during the Ravens’ first season, Jackson took over as the team’s starting quarterback. Jackson played in 12 games and made eight starts as a freshman at Louisville in 2015 (he was a communications major). The Cardinals finished the season 8-5. He ran for 960 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns while completing 135 of 247 throws for 1,840 yards, 12 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

After passing for 227 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for a Music City Bowl record 226 yards and two scores, he was named the game’s MVP.

Felicia Jones and Lamar Jackson Sr. are the parents of Lamar Jackson. He was raised in the heart of a struggling neighborhood in Pompano Beach, Florida. When Jackson was 8 years old and his grandma passed away in 2005, his father passed away from a heart attack on the same day. He and his siblings were brought up by their mother.

He attended public schools and participated in Pop Warner football with future teammate Marquise Brown in the same Florida league. Jackson was able to toss a football 20 yards when he was just 8 years old. Jackson tossed a football 100 yards in high school.
