The List Of Celebrities Who Contested For Parliamentary Seats In 2016-Who Won & Who Lost?

This year’s election witnessed some showbiz personalities making a bold step to contest for parliamentary seats in their respective constituencies. From faces we know on tv, to voices we hear on radio, there as at least one person who from each field. 

Now that the elections are over, we want to share with you the celebrities who contested for the 2016 elections and also to tell you who won and who lost.

About 7 celebrities contested for seats in parliament this year and only two out of that number won. These 7 celebrities who contested for seats in parliaments are Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, (formerly of Joy Fm), Salinko (Kumawood Actor), Diamond Appiah (Musician and Actress), Ebi Bright (Actress), Eric Don Arthur (TV3 Presenter),  Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini (Radio Gold), and Kwame Dzokoto (Actor & Tv Presenter).

2.Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini-WON (NDC)

Constituency:Tamale North Constituency 

3.Salinko (Abraham Kofi Davis)—LOST(PPP)

Constituency:Atwima Kwawomang Electorate in the Ashanti area.

 

4.Diamond Appaih—LOST (UFP)

Constituency:Trobu Constituency in Amasaman
