Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that range from the common cold to MERS coronavirus, which is Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus and SARS, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus.

The virus which was first detected in the Wuhan Province in China has now spread across the globe in an unusual manner.

So far, 488,292 coronavirus cases have been recorded across the 6 continents with 22,069 deaths and 117,608 recoveries.

Out of the 198 Countries and Territories around the world that have reported a total of 488,292 confirmed cases of the coronavirus COVID-19 that originated from Wuhan, China, 46 African countries have so far reported 2,815 confirmed cases.
