The Chief Executive Officer of Rufftown Records, Ricky Nana Agyemang aka Bullet who is also the manager of late dancehall songstress Ebony has revealed that he was the one who gave the songstress the stage name “Ebony“.
He made this revelation in an interview with Okay Fm’s Abeku Santana on the February 12, 2018’s edition of his late afternoon show.
“I told her you are going to be called Ebony from today and this name will be the name you will use in everything you do,” he said.
Bullet added that, he’s the master craft behind almost all the songs by the late Ebony. Thus, he writes all the hit songs Ghanaians have been jamming to from the camp of the budding Dancehall artiste. According to him, there’s a lot he did for Ebony just that he’s not willing to talk about certain stuff which are meant to be treated as confidential.
When asked about the source of the “Reigns” attached to the Ebony, he posited that Ebony chose that one herself because she was a queen and believe she will reign in Ghana music. Perhaps it’s as a result of being called “Ohemaa” in the house by immediately family members and close pals.
