‘I Love ‘Gbee Naabu’ Song Because It Made Me Trend’ – Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale has cunning way of attacking his colleagues in the industry verbally through most of his songs or when performing on stage without any provocation.

Hence, it became a big relief to many when Yaa Pono decided to send the self-proclaimed Dancehall artiste to the cleaners with the song titled, Gbee Naabu. The song went viral and many hailed the Tema-based rapper for his lyrical dexterity.

The song really pissed off the faithfuls of the Shatta Movement family and they threatened to teach Yaa Pono a lesson if they get hold of him.

However, Shatta Wale in a recent interview on Atuu hosted by Abeiku Santana on UTV, stated that he was not bothered by the song at all. On the contrary, he said he loves the song very much because he loves to tease.

According to him, he attended a boarding school where teasing was the norm so obviously he is cool with it. He suggested he doesn’t diss his colleagues, he only teases them yet they take it personally and make him trend; something he always enjoys because it brings the money and fame.

Shatta Wale encouraged Ghanaian musicians to work hard and make more money if they don’t want to end up as paupers.
